The same human appears as an email address, a Slack handle and a display name. Identity is where those collapse into one entity.
Aliases
Add an alias and every future mention resolves to the right entity. Aliases carry a kind — email, handle, display name — so an ambiguous string does not silently capture the wrong person.
Merging duplicates
Flipper AI proposes likely duplicates; merging repoints every fact onto the surviving entity. Merges are admin-only and audited, and a dismissed suggestion stays dismissed. One pair is joined without asking: a bare first name and the only full name in the workspace that starts with it, whichever arrived first — the full name stays the primary. A first name two people share is left for you.
