Claude.ai and ChatGPT connect to Flipper AI as a custom connector. There is no CLI, no config file and no long-lived token to paste.

Add the connector

Open connector settings
In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT (on the web, Pro or a company plan): Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode, then Apps → Create. On a company plan, an owner or admin adds Flipper AI once, then everyone connects it from their own settings.

Paste the MCP URL
Your Flipper AI API origin followed by /mcp — on the hosted instance, https://api.flipperai.in/mcp.

Approve on Flipper AI's consent screen
You will see exactly which workspace the grant covers. Access tokens last an hour and refresh silently.

What ChatGPT sees

ChatGPT's company knowledge and deep research use only an app's search and fetch tools, so Flipper AI exposes both alongside the full tool set. They run the same retrieval as search_memory, filtered by the same access rules — an out-of-scope fact is indistinguishable from a missing one. On ChatGPT Pro, custom apps are limited to reading; tools that write, such as record_fact, need a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.
